There's a lot of people moving to Charlotte. In fact, it's one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Some came for a new opportunity, others followed a partner, or just decided it was time for a change.

What usually follows is a life that ends up needing more from you than expected, an unfamiliar city you're still figuring out, and a support network that's either back home or a new one that isn't built yet. That's a lot to manage while also trying to hold everything else together.

At Dimensions Counseling Center, I work with adults in Charlotte who look like they're keeping up on the outside and aren't doing as well as that looks. Sessions are entirely online, so getting support doesn't mean needing to fight Charlotte traffic to get there.
Wondering if therapy is right for you?
Charlotte's pace doesn't leave a lot of room for admitting you're struggling. Whatever brought you here, the expectation tends to be the same: stay composed, meet the standard, and deal with whatever's underneath on your own time. Most people don't think about therapy until they've run out of ways to cope on their own.
Do you see yourself in these?
As we work together...
We'll focus on understanding what drives the patterns you're stuck in. We’ll find practical ways to address them, even when life doesn’t slow down. Depending on your situation, we might use ACT or CBT to tackle anxiety and perfectionism. We could also use EMDR to process past experiences that still affect how you handle pressure today.

We'll work on boundary setting, decision fatigue, and what happens when your expectations shift from motivating to suffocating.
My Specialties
Focused care for adults dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, and the pressure to keep moving forward.

Therapy that understands the environment you're working in
Charlotte moves fast, and it doesn't leave much room for struggle. Plenty of people here are still building a life from scratch, and the isolation that comes with being new compounds whatever pressure is already there. That combination can build for a long time before anyone, maybe even you, decides to address it.

Sessions happen through a secure video platform, so you can join from wherever is private for you. Because I'm based in Johnson City, there's also a built-in layer of privacy that's harder to find locally: no shared acquaintances, no overlapping circles.
Early sessions focus on understanding what's holding you back and what you want to see change. From there, we build a plan that fits your life: skills for outside of sessions, strategies that don't require big changes to your schedule, and progress that lasts even when things get busy.
Ready to Move Forward?
If you're in Charlotte or anywhere else in North Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia, online therapy makes it possible to get real support without adding more strain to your calendar.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Therapy can help you think more clearly, set firmer limits with the people and demands pulling at you, and move forward in ways that feel intentional rather than reactive.
